Child Safety

The safety and wellbeing of our athletes is our highest priority.

Working With Children Checks​

All parent volunteers, committee members and officials with regular unsupervised contact with children must hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC). Our Registrar maintains records of all WWCCs.

Child Safety Officer​

Our Child Safety Officer keeps the Committee informed of LANSW child safety policies and ensures our practices comply with the LANSW Child Safe Framework.

Supervision​

  • A parent or carer must remain at the venue for the full session for each child
  • Tiny Tots athletes must be accompanied by a parent at all times
  • Athletes must not be left unsupervised

Reporting concerns​

Report any behaviour that puts a child at risk to a Committee member or the Child Safety Officer immediately.
