Distance runs
Longer races (typically 800m to 1500m) are included for older age groups.
Hurdles
Hurdles begin at 8s and above. Heights and spacing between hurdles are adjusted for each age group.
How track events are run
Each race is supervised by the following parent helper roles:

| Starter | Starts races: "On your marks… Set… Bang!" |
| Timekeeper | Records finishing times |
| Marshalls | Hand place cards to finishers, guide athletes to Recorder |
| Recorder | Collects results and enters into ResultsHQ |
| Hurdles helper | Adjusts hurdle heights and positions between age groups |
See Track Roles for full instructions.
