Age Managers
Age Managers are one of the most important roles at Tiger Wests. Unlike most parent helper roles which rotate week to week, Age Managers consistently lead the same age group throughout the season.
What Age Managers do
- Lead their age group through all events each Friday night
- Call athletes forward for their attempts
- Judge fouls and record field event results
- Keep athletes safe, engaged and supervised between events
- Communicate with the Parent Helper Coordinator if issues arise
Why it matters
A good Age Manager makes an enormous difference. When children know and trust their Age Manager, they feel safe and motivated. It's one of the most rewarding roles in the club.

All Age Managers are encouraged to complete the online course — it takes 1–2 hours.
Becoming an Age Manager
We are always looking for new Age Managers. If you're available most Fridays and enjoy encouraging children to be their best, please speak to the Parent Helper Coordinator or email info@tigerwests.com.au. No prior athletics experience is needed.
